On Dore Alley between Howard and Folsom, continuing on Folsom from 9th to Juniper and the adjoining block of 10th St. San Francisco, CA
Up Your Alley® is only for real players – and not for the faint of heart – where leather daddies rule the streets of San Francisco’s South of Market district. Of course, if rubber, sportswear, biker gear, skinheads, punks, or any variety of built, hairy men turns you on, then we’ve got it. You won’t find a filthier event in the States. If you’re into it, there’s a scene for you. So, don’t get left out.
Located in front of the legendary Powerhouse bar, nearly 15,000 fellow leather men and fetish enthusiasts engage in BDSM play at over 50 adult vendor spaces! Spanking, punching, whips and floggers, bondage, domination and submission, creative watersports, toys and so much more are in full effect.
DJ DAMnation – 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM
DJ DAMnation grew up listening to new wave, punk, post-punk and disco, so he maintains a strong penchant for the alternative and the eccentric. He came out as a gay man in New York in the late 80s, dancing at the likes of legendary nightclubs, parties, and bars like Mars, Tunnel, Sound Factory, The Roxy, Boy Bar, Red Zone, Jackie 60, and many, many others. His mixes center on classic and underground house vibes. Influenced by the likes of legends like contemporaries of that scene – Frankie Knuckles, Junior Vasquez, Merritt and more – most of his sets reflect a driving, yet melodic, mix of music. Currently, he favors remixers and producers such as Tuff City Kids, MK, and most any of the DirtyBird Players. Over the past decade, his gigs have included spinning at SOMA leather bars like Powerhouse and SF Eagle as well as special parties at The EndUp, BeatBox, CatClub and more.
Russ Rich – 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM
Russ Rich is one of San Francisco’s most versatile DJs. Early on in his DJ career, he became known for his happy and uplifting vocal style. After several years spinning local bars and T-Dances, he graduated to headliner status, playing peak time sets at clubs like “Industry” at Mighty, “Hero” at Ruby Skye, and “Colossus” at 1015 Folsom. In 2011, Russ won “San Francisco’s Next Top DJ” competition, and in 2013, he won a nationwide contest for Gay Internet Radio Live. That same year, Russ was named Resident DJ for PLAY T-Dance, held annually following the Up Your Alley Street Fair. Russ has remixed a diverse group of artists, including Coldplay, Katy Perry, Ellie Goulding, Demi Lovato, Peyton, 7th Heaven, Carlos Gallardo, Inaya Day, and Debby Holiday. Russ’s original collaboration with DJ Phil B (“Insane”) became a #1 hit on Dance World Radio. In 2015, Russ released his first collaboration with DJ Philip Grasso, a cover of Freemasons “Love on My Mind” featuring Debby Holiday and Leo Frappier. In 2016, Russ and Philip followed up their worldwide hit with a Top 5 US BILLBOARD dance remix for Toy Armada and DJ Grind’s “One Night in Heaven” (ft. Inaya Day).
Byron Bonsall – 12:45 PM to 2:30 PM
Taking in the sights and sounds of such parties as MASS, CLUB UNIVERSE, and PLEASUREDOME had a huge impact on Byron. Soon the desire to re-enter the DJ world got the better of him. He has played at San Francisco’s LookOut (resident DJ), The EndUp, The Eagle, BeatBox, Space 550, Rebel, The Café, Infusion Lounge, The Sound Factory, Club NV, Temple Nightclub, The Stud as well as Oakland’s Bench & Bar and The White Horse. Outside of the Bay Area, Byron has spun in Seattle (Cuff Complex and Neighbours), Vancouver (Club XY), Palm Springs (Hard Rock Hotel), Dallas (Station 4), Omaha (The Max) and Manila, Philippines (BED). Byron’s mix of the London club sound to sexy tech house/techno/progressive afterhours music has led him to this philosophy, “If you don’t leave with a smile on your face and maybe a little sweaty, I haven’t done my job.” There’s nothing better than leaving a club thinking “that was fun!” Byron wants you to think that same way. “Just come in, dance your ass off for a few hours and have a good time. Leave you worries at the door. They’ll be waiting for you when you’re done. Until then, you belong to me!”
