DJ DAMnation (11:00am-12:15pm)
DJ DAMnation is the moniker used by the fair’s Executive Director, Demetri Moshoyannis. He grew up listening to obscure new wave, punk, industrial and goth before coming out, so he has a penchant for the alternative and underground. After coming out as a gay man in NYC in the late 80s, he spent far too many weekends (and week nights) clubbing at the likes of celebrated clubs like Mars, Tunnel, Sound Factory, The Roxy, Boy Bar, Red Zone, and many, many more. As such, most of his mixes steer straight into classic and deep house vibes while blending in just the right amount of indie and pop. He enjoys a weekly residency at Powerhouse, every Thursday (and random Saturdays). Also, he can be found spinning from time to time at the SF Eagle and BeatBox for RED MEAT. DJ Chris Griswold (1:30pm-3:00pm)
Chris Griswold has always had a passion for dance music. Chris spent many nights in clubs around the world and record stores, watching and learning from top DJs and listening to his favorite style of music: high energy, vocal and progressive house. After dancing until dawn (on a box, nonetheless) in the Atlanta club and circuit scene for years, Chris seamlessly transitioned from dance floor to DJ booth with the loyal support from many club goers worldwide.
In 2009, Chris was a current resident DJ at Mixx in Atlanta. John Millier, lead DJ at Mixx, heard some of Chris’ mixes and knew he would be a great addition to the DJ team. Chris’ high-energy, vocal and progressive house sets (like the club) brought a much-needed drive to the Atlanta nightclub scene.
Chris continues to pack dance floors with appearances at Amsterdam, The Atlanta Eagle, Blake’s on the Park, the Jungle Club, Opera, the Heretic, Boo-T-Ball (2008, 2009), The Premiere Party (2007, 2008), Atlanta Gay Pride Street Celebration (2007), plus many community benefits and outreach parties. Chris has also played at the Haze nightclub in Las Vegas as well as Denver Pride 2013 and other events around the country.

DJ James Torres (3:00pm-4:30pm)
Like combat boots splashed with color from a mirror ball, the music of DJ James Torres hits the dance floor like a tough guy who’s not afraid to shake his hips. His spins bring edgy urban influence of the East Coast and marries it to the laid back groove of the shores of Northern California. He seamlessly blends the soul of R&B with the aggressive beats of hip-hop, and fearless free spirit of house. James Torres brought the sounds of his native Newark, New Jersey, and neighboring New York City when he migrated to his new home of San Francisco. His unique mix of new and old school tracks, infused with sexy house music, keeps crowds jumping at the world renowned End Up each week. His first break came when a legendary San Francisco bar, Chaps II, reopened its doors for Sunday beer bust. From there, he was invited to spin as a guest DJ for Wunderland, Industry, and Sanctuary SF. James regularly does many of the major events that occur each year in San Francisco such as Pride, Up Your Alley and Folsom Street Fair. He has expanded his reach to LA, San Diego, Atlanta, and Fort Lauderdale. The passion to find, promote, and produce music that elevates the soul continually inspires him everyday.
DJ Hawthorne (4:30pm-6:00pm)
Growing up in rural Georgia in the early ‘80s, raised by a teenage mother, some of Hawthorne’s earliest memories are of the crackle of vinyl records. A love of disco and early hip hop, electro and pop led him to spend every dime he earned from mowing lawns to add to that extensive vinyl collection. In the early ‘90s, Hawthorne leapt face-first into the rave scene and found a new love of dance music/culture that would forever change his path.
Currently a resident for more than a decade at San Francisco’s legendary after-hours club, The EndUp, Hawthorne headlines the weekly 12-hour Friday night party, TRADE. This mixed crowd is known for its love of sophisticated, floor stomping, soulful house music – and Hawthorne never disappoints. He’s shared the decks with Frankie Knuckles, Little Louis Vega and Peter Rauhofer to name a few. Aside from TRADE, Hawthorne is the mastermind behind some of San Francisco’s hottest club nights including Ghettodisco, Twisted and Wunderland. Hawthorne has also played San Francisco Gay Pride, The Love Parade, Folsom Street Fair and the infamous Up Your Alley.
