In 2002, DJ Aki began his career in Tokyo, Japan. After establishing a successful residency, he was invited to play all over the Land of the Rising Sun, eventually being invited to South Korea, as well.
In 2015, his travels took him to the Bay Area of California, eventually leading to him establishing San Francisco as home. There, he is a resident DJ at Badlands and Toad Hall (San Francisco), two of the leading dance clubs in the Castro. He also ventures out regularly to DJ at Splash (San Jose), ShangriLa and Phoenix at The Endup (San Francisco), and JC Events. He is, without a doubt, one of the DJs to listen to on the West Coast.
DJ/Producer Matt Effect is an established performer who has been spinning for many varied events, since starting in his hometown of Sydney, Australia. He has held residencies at some of Sydney’s biggest clubs including ARQ Nightclub, Manacle, The Oxford Hotel, Phoenix and Midnight Shift, Chinese Laundry and Ivy to name a few.
Matt is becoming one of the most recognizable and sought after DJ’s after his 2010 and 2012 tours through the United States. Not many DJ’s come along that show such versatility in their work quite like Matt Effect. His work ranges over many different styled events, to not shy away in the background but yet to stand out as one of the big guns. Which has developed him a great reputation not only for his music, but his dedication towards all his work. Matt performs at some amazing parties and locations but he caters very well to all crowds, events, groups and age-brackets.
