San Francisco, CA - April 15, 2009 - The Board of Directors of Folsom Street Events is pleased to make Exhibitor applications available for both Up Your Alley® and Folsom Street Fair®. Additionally, applications for the Folsom Street Fair Artists’ Area are online, marking the third year that up-and-coming erotic artists will be featured in a special, fully donated area. Last year, a group of ten international artists won competitive nominations and were selected to build this unique cultural offering.
“With the economy in such a poor state, we are confident that our limited exhibitor spaces will go fast. Up Your Alley and Folsom Street Fair are strong, dependable events that always bring out the best of our community,” says Executive Director Demetri Moshoyannis. “Even in times of recession, our events continue to build and grow and generate unparalleled revenue for our exhibitors,” Moshoyannis added. For successful Artists’ Area applicants, Folsom Street Events waives all space rental fees and covers the costs of booth structures for the artists. The artists only need to supply tables, chairs, and display materials. According to Andy Copper, Board President, "We are excited about continuing this area because there is so much artistic talent out there.
