San Francisco, CA (December 3, 2007) – The Board of Directors of Folsom Street Events announced today that a revised grant application is available for potential beneficiaries of the 2008 fair season. Proceeds from the Up Your Alley Fair™, Bay of Pigs™, Magnitude™, and the Folsom Street Fair™ will benefit nonprofit agencies that serve the community in the areas of Public Health, Human Services, and The Arts. Applications are due no later than 12:00 noon on Friday, February 1, 2008 at 965 Mission Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA, 94103. Electronic versions of the 2008 Beneficiary Application are available on the Folsom Street Events website at folsomstreetevents.org as a PDF file.
There are three categories of annual grant-making: Major Beneficiary, Supporting Beneficiary, and National Community Grants. Please review each category carefully to ensure that your agency meets the basic qualifications, including volunteer recruitment. National Community Grants are made on an invitation basis only; please do not use this application for a request.
Fairly recent changes to our grant-making process include the ability for eligible nonprofits to apply every year for beneficiary status and consideration of grant requests that include program staff salaries. The changes we have made result directly from your feedback.
