Folsom Street Events Affiliates
Folsom Europe - Berlin, Germany 
In 2003, Folsom Street Events began discussions with a group of
dedicated and engaged leather men from Germany about the possibility
of taking the ideas, principles and concepts that make Folsom
Street Fair® so successful here in San
Francisco and using them to create a world class leather event
in Berlin. In early 2004 we conculded an agreement with Folsom
Europe e.V. in Berlin.
Folsom Europe premiered in 2004 and will have its eighth event in Berlin-Schöneberg on Saturday, September 10, 2011. From 12:00 noon until 9:00pm Europe's Leather-Fetish scene will present itself in the Fuggerstrasse / Welserstrasse area. They expect 20,000 visitors from all over the world to attend Europe's biggest leather and fetish event. With fairgrounds directly adjacent to the new Design-Hotel AXEL, fairgoers can expect a friendly neighborhood with food and drink stalls, shopping and information booths. All accompanied by the music of the hippest European DJ's. At the entrances, the Sister's of Perpetual Indulgence will collect donations to support Folsom Europe's beneficiaries. Folsom Street Events is proud to once again partner with The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence this year. Their assistance with both the infamous Up Your Alley fair and the Folsom Street Fair is especially fabulous, as it marks the 27th Folsom Street Fair and the 18th anniversary of the Sisters' relationship with the us. The Sisters will, once again, act as "Door Divas" for the fairs at which we hope to help raise even more money than last year's record gate donations. The Sisters are a community partner, providing volunteer training as well as coordinating and managing the gate volunteers on the fair day. Additionally, the Sisters work the gates - and the crowds - with a trademark style and flair. Along with the joy that comes from serving the community, the Sisters receive a portion of the donations collected at the gates. The money received from Folsom Street Events is put into the Sisters' Grant Fund and is distributed to worthy community service organizations at the end of the year and during their Anniversary Celebration on Easter Sunday. 100% of the donations collected at the gates at both Fairs go back to the community. The Sisters work so well with Folsom Street Events because we embrace the Sisters' philosophy of having fun while serving the community. When you add in the fact that our events are also celebrations of alternative lifestyles, it's easy to see why the Sisters and Folsom Street Events work (and play) so well together. "This is my sixth year managing the Sisters' relationship with Folsom Street Events and it just keeps getting bigger and better each year," said Sister Edith Myflesh, Current Abbess of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc. "The Sisters and the Fairs are both such 'only in San Francisco' entities that it wouldn't be right to have one without the other."
