COCKTAILGATE started the week of Christmas 2007 with some very humble beginnings. A weekly show, hosted by Suppositori Spelling showcases some of San Francisco's richest drag, burlesque, comedy and cabaret performers. Known for nurturing emerging talents, CTG was awarded SF Weekly Reader's Poll Best New Drag show 2008 when the ladies still performed on Truck's pool table with nothing but the bar's track lighting to illuminate them. Steadily, this adventurous and unapologetic show has grown to a full-tilt weekly drag theatre and night club event which won SF Weekly Reader's Poll Best Drag Show 2010. The ladies (term used very loosely) of Cocktailgate were very excited to be part of Folsom Street Fair 2010 and now again in 2011! |
